There's a new business in Baytown and it's called J & H Coffee House! Serving up coffee, snocones, and deliciously large cookies, this coffee house is a splendid addition to the Downtown Arts District. Located behind Green Apple Salon, it is within walking distance from Lee College and the perfect place to meet a friend for coffee or a sno-cone! Address: 660 W Texas Avenue Suite B.
For over a year, David and Sally have been designing, building, and bringing this shop to life in what can only be called a true labor of love. Listening to them excitedly share how they've worked together to start this business will give you all of the Hallmark movie feels.
One side of the business is an open space for David's private music lessons. The other side is where the coffee and sno-cones are served. Comfy seating and lots of natural light make this the perfect spot to dive into a good book or get some work done on your laptop. (And yes, there is free WiFi!) Special note, Sally refurbished all of the furniture in the shop! How cool is that.
They have two menus, one for coffees and one for sno-cones. Not only are they reasonably priced, but I was impressed to see sugar-free sno-cone options available too!
The baked goods change day to day, so you're always in for a surprise for what goodies will be available that day. So far I've seen giant cookies, adorable cupcakes, and brownies rotating in and out of the case!
