BAYTOWN
If you’re looking for the best fishing hole to drop a line in, look no further than Baytown! With both fresh and saltwater fishing opportunities, Baytown has multiple places to wet a hook via land, boat, or kayak. Baytown is nestled among 4 different saltwater bays that feed into Galveston Bay. Winding through Baytown is Cedar Bayou, and its slow moving pace is perfect for boat fishing or fishing from a kayak. Roseland Park and the Eddie V. Gray Wetlands Education Center both have kayak and boat launches that are free to use. The Baytown Nature Center has docks for fishing and locations where you can bank fish. Thompson’s Fish Camp is the longest operating boat launch in Baytown opening in 1952. For a small fee, you can launch your boat, pick up some live or dead bait, and grab some drinks for the cooler all in one place. Bayland Park is another boat launch location that gives you access to several different saltwater inlets that are filled with huge reds, speckled trout, flounder, and more!
