The City of Baytown has reached a milestone that’s worth celebrating. 75 years ago, on January 24, 1948, the communities of Goose Creek, Pelly, and East Baytown officially consolidated into one community. City leaders joined others from the community to recognize the birthday, but we want to get you in on the celebration.
The City is giving you 75 ways, throughout the year, to recognize the birthday. Some of them will be events and others will be fun things you can do on your own. There will be giveaways, but overall the hope is that you learn more about Baytown while getting out and experiencing why Baytown is the place to visit year-round.
We will be sharing quarterly calendars with you in multiple ways, but you can see the entire list at baytown.org/75. Also, we want to see you celebrating Baytown’s 75th birthday. Take pictures or share some vintage photos with us on our social media pages using the hashtag #Baytown75.
Let’s have fun while learning more about the rich history of our community.
