Star Spangled Sweepstakes 2017

If you said YES to any of the questions above, then you will want to be a part of our Star Spangled Sweepstakes!! Everyday leading up to the Baytown Independence Celebration on July 3rd & 4th we will be sending out a different location (through our mobile app) around Baytown that features some of our amazing public art.  All you have to do is go there and take a selfie and post it to your Facebook feed with the contest hashtags #IHeartBaytown & #BaytownPublicArt between the hours of 7am-10pm.  Each person that posts a picture will be entered in to a drawing that will occur the following day.  Be sure to participate each day, because each daily photo submission will go into a grand prize drawing on July 4th!  The more days you participate, the more times your name will go in to the drawing!

How to Participate

 

Step 1: Download our mobile app and make sure to turn on your push notifications!  Each day we will send out a message through our mobile app that contains the location of where to take your selfie. To download the mobile app, search "Visit Baytown" in the Apple or Google Play Stores, or click the buttons below.

Step 2: Visit the public art location for that day in Baytown and take a selfie between the hours of 7am-10pm.  There are some parks on the list and Baytown parks are only open until 10pm, so make sure to go before that time.  Pictures submitted after 10pm will not go into the drawing.  Get creative with your pictures!

 

Step 3: Post your picture to Facebook with #IHeartBaytown and #BaytownPublicArt and make sure your privacy settings for the post are set to public.  If we cannot find your picture through a hashtag search, then it will not go in to the drawing.

Additional Rules and Information:

  1. Do not climb on or destroy the public art.  Photos submitted with people ON the art, will not be accepted.  No obscene photos will be entered in to the drawing.  Please be respectful.

  2. No Tourism employees or their immediate family may participate. 

  3. Participants can have their name in the drawing once daily.

  4. Participants may win only 1 of the daily drawings.  Daily drawing winners are also eligible to win the grand prize so the more you participate the more times your name goes into the grand prize drawing.

  5. If you don’t have social media, you must have someone post to social media for you.

  6. If you do not have a smart phone or access to our mobile application, you may call or email the Tourism Office for the daily location between the hours of 9am-4pm Monday-Friday. 

  7. Winners for the June 30-July 2 prizes will be drawn on Monday, July 3.

  8. Winners must come to City Hall within 7 business days to claim their prize or call 281.420.6510 to make pick up arrangements (Our offices are open between the hours of 9am - 4pm), with exception of Tuesday, July 4. Please visit the Tourism Booth during the July 4th Celebration at Bicentennial Park to redeem your meet & greet passes for Josh Turner or email us at sheree.cardwell@baytown.org for further instructions. 

  9. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

  10. By participating in our contest you are agreeing to allow the Baytown Tourism Team to use your photos in future advertising and social media posts.
