Arts & Eats Fest

March 23rd 4pm-9pm

Town Square, 213 W. Texas Avenue, Baytown

The Arts & Eats Fest is the perfect marriage of food trucks, art, and music!  Food Trucks will line the Baytown Town Square while the Mambo Jazz Kings take the stage for a day of dancing and singing familiar pop/rock tunes.  In the middle of the Town Square, chalk artists take their places around the large fountain to create art pieces that will win the hearts of spectators and hopefully the contest’s first prize award.  Finally, new for 2019, there will be a fire truck pull hosted by Baytown’s Special Olympics group.  The festival is free to attend and proceeds from the chalk art contest and fire truck pull will benefit the Art Gallery of Baytown’s Rising Stars—a special needs art program.

Bicentennial Park,

1001 Market Street, Baytown

The music is always HOT HOT HOT at Grito Fest and this year is no different.  The festival kicks off at 4:30pm and the music doesn’t stop until 10pm.  Bring a blanket or folding chairs, pick your perfect spot on the large park grounds, and get ready to enjoy a music-filled fall evening.  YOU can also take the main stage by storm with your accordion playing skills or show off your need for heat in the jalapeno eating contest.  Bragging rights are the ultimate goal in these challenges that take place in between musical acts during the festival.  Finally, make sure you can call out the traditional Mexican celebration of “waaaaaaaii-ai-yai-yai-ahay-hay-hay” in grandiose fashion during the Grito competition.  More info about this fun event can be found at
